Really well done! Wouldn't be surprised if this wins or at least becomes one of the finalists.

KoTesKaMae responds:

Thank you!

Magical! Looks like from a storybook.

I've seen every single entry so far and this is my favourite. I want it to win even more than I want my own entry to win.

RedVelvetDragon responds:

Oh my gosh, what!? I saw tons of entries and when I saw yours I loved it so much I was like "oh, this is definitely the winner". I'm glad you liked mine as well <3

Please put a wip image in the description, otherwise you'll be disqualified, and I don't want that!

Goldeneagle4170 responds:

Thanks.🙂

I love the style and the colour!

CarolART responds:

Thank you so much! :D

I've seen every single entry so far, and this idea with astronauts and space has popped up a lot. When I saw the thumbnail, I thought "O no, another astronaut!". But... I like it. It's my favourite astronaut so far. Nice work! I also love that you took inspiration from the new photo of a black hole. I was pretty excited when that came out!

thenightmarelife responds:

Thank you so much I appreciate it, I’m glad that my work is your favorite I can’t tell you how much that means to me! But yeah I love the picture of the black hole it’s what inspired me to do my idea in space.

Really nice rendering! The colours are a little too muddy for my taste, but that's just personal preference.
Love the little detail of the piece of chewing gum on the underside of the chair.

Inquissien responds:

I personally highly enjoy muddy color schemes, but as you already said that's just a preference. And thank you! The gum was added last minute because a friend of mine suggested it and I loved the idea.

I really like this. Simple, yet effective.

Very beautiful! It has this impressionist feel to it which I really like. The soft colours make it look like a very warm but cloudy day. It seems to me that there'll soon be rain.

Beautiful detail, texture and rendering. I love the subsurface scattering in the rose petal. I also love the emotion on her face, the tear and the red around the eye.

However, I feel like there's something wrong with the proportions even though I can't quite put my finger on it. I think the ribcage is too small for the head. It looks very top-heavy, especially with all the flowers on her head.

Otherwise, great piece!

LaurenWilson responds:

I too feel like she is a little top heavy sometimes. I think it might be that her hair is too big for her head, and there are a lot of flowers are in her hair as well, so that also brings a lot of weight to the top of her figure. I think the torso is correct, but the placement of the shirt in the front makes it look like the body cuts in more than it should, and thats probably because I need to practice more with clothing. Thank you for the critique, I will be keeping this in mind in my future paintings!
